Presenter Kate Wall is a gardening professional based in Brisbane, and one of Australia’s leading weed experts. She has produced a book “Working with Weeds”, a practical guide to understanding, managing and using weeds; appeared on television and in numerous gardening magazines. Her book will be available for sale on the day.

We will have a sit down and discuss weeds, followed by a walk around the garden to look at the weeds that are growing there. Kate is happy for participants to bring in weeds they would like to learn more about. 

This workshop will include tasting the edible weeds and discussion of ways to use them in the kitchen and for medicine, as well as what they tell us about the soil and the various methods for controlling them, and when to use which method.
