Join us for our first working bee of the year on Saturday 17th March, from 7.30 to 11.30 am. Even if you don’t spend the whole four hours at Beelarong, any time spent helping out would be appreciated.
We will be working in conjunction with students from the Griffith University Enactus Club.
When you arrive at the farm, seek out the team leader where you want to spend your time and make yourself known.
The team leaders, and some tasks, are:
- David Costello : Composting - Move compost from small bins to large bays; Mulch tree and garden waste from around the farm; Turn old compost bays; Build a new bay.
- Heather O’Donnell: Turning compost tumblers
- Paula Kennedy: Weeding of paths and community allotments
- Bob McConachie: Tidy area near toilet
- Josette Mathers: Weeding and tidying of area near allotments/jaboticabas/near side fence, towards Beelarong St.
Morning tea and a barbecue lunch will be supplied on the day.
We look forward to seeing you there!
