September Farmgate Sale

  • Beelarong Community Farm 56 York Street Morningside, QLD, 4170 Australia (map)

Last Saturday of the month coming up and this means it’s Beelarong’s Farmgate Sale this weekend – Saturday 28 September from 9am – noon.

Of course we will have our wonderful home made preserves available, more details below. We’re again able to offer a small selection of hard to find plants, including vanilla, comfrey, water celery and holy basil – make sure to have a look.

Are you super-organised and already on the hunt for ideas for Christmas? Perhaps you’ll find just what you’re looking for in our selection of hand-crafted items and cards.

Unbelievably, we still have Rosella Jam available after our monster harvest this year. The citrus season has also been generous and you’ll find Orange Marmalade, a Chunky Citrus Marmalade with Ginger, Mandarin Jam, Lime and Ginger Marmalade, Tangy Cumquat Jam and a delicious Chunky Pink Grapefruit Marmalade.

It’s mulberry season so we have a Mulberry Jam and a Deluxe Mulberry Jam which includes farm-grown vanilla for an extra special touch.

And to wrap up the great selection, there’ll be Brazilian Cherry & Apple Jam, Strawberry Jam and Jaboticaba & Apple Jam. All for the unbelievable price of $7 for a 250g jar.

Prefer a chutney or pickle? We’ve got you covered. Not only do we have the old fashioned favourites of Sweet Mustard Pickle and Tomato Relish, we also have a range that you won’t find in your local supermarket. We’re talking about Rosella Chilli Chutney, Banana Date Chutney, Starfruit & Choko Chutney, Green Mango & Starfruit Chutney, Mango Chilli Chutney, Jaboticaba Chutney, Tangy Rosella & Starfruit Chutney, Brinjal Pickle and Zucchini Pickle, all of which go perfectly with a curry , or on a sandwich or with your favourite cheese . Whilst you’re at it, pick up a jar of Kasundi to use as a cooking sauce.

The early birds might snag a jar of Lemon Butter or Lemon Passionfruit Butter at $9.00 per jar. Some customers tell us that they can’t help themselves and just sit with a spoon and devour the jar in one sitting!

And remember, we reuse the jars, bonnets, string etc. – so bring them back with you when you come on Saturday!
